AI live chat for clinics and dental practices
MivoChat answers the administrative questions patients ask your website every day: new-patient steps, accepted insurance, hours, parking, and how to reach the front desk. Anything clinical goes straight to your team.
See it answer from your own clinic website:
Example conversation: a patient asks about new-patient paperwork and accepted insurance, MivoChat answers from the clinic's pages, and a toothache question is handed to reception.
Why clinics add chat
Most website questions to a clinic are administrative, repetitive, and already answered somewhere on your site. They still interrupt reception dozens of times a day.
Patients who read your site at night call at 8am with the same five questions about hours, forms, and parking.
Forms, ID and arrival times are on a page nobody finds, so reception explains them again on every call.
Patients hesitate to book until someone confirms whether their plan is one you list.
Real questions, routed well
MivoChat answers from the pages you approve and hands everything that needs a person to your team, with the conversation attached.
“What do I need to bring as a new patient?”
Answered by AI: Answered from your new-patient page
“Which insurance plans do you accept?”
Answered by AI: Lists the plans you publish
“Are you open on Saturday?”
Answered by AI: Uses your hours and closure notices
“Is there step-free access and parking?”
Answered by AI: Answered from your directions page
“I have pain and swelling. What should I do?”
Handed to your team: Shows your urgent phone route, no assessment
“Can I move my appointment to next week?”
Handed to your team: Sent to reception with contact details
Features
A careful assistant for public information, with your staff one tap away.
Replies come from your new-patient, insurance, hours and directions pages, each with its source shown to the patient.
Pain, bleeding or anything urgent gets your published phone route right away instead of an AI opinion.
Your team picks up handed-off conversations in a Telegram topic or the web inbox, with the full chat history.
Outside opening hours, patients still get clear directions, forms, and a way to request a callback.
A patient can ask in Spanish or Polish while your team reads and replies in English.
On Starter and Pro, gather a booking request with contact details for reception to confirm in your own system.
How it works

The practical guide
Reception should not have to choose between helping the person at the desk and repeating the clinic’s address on the phone. A well-scoped website chat can answer public administrative questions, collect a callback request, and make the clinic’s approved route to care easy to find.
Quick answer
For a clinic, website chat is most useful for administrative questions: new-patient steps, listed insurance, location, hours, and how to reach reception. On Starter and Pro, MivoChat can collect a booking request and pass it to staff, but it does not sync a clinic calendar, confirm an appointment, or assess symptoms.
Start with the questions reception answers every day, and decide which ones a published page can answer without a clinician’s judgment.
A first-time visitor often needs a short sequence: whether the practice is accepting patients, which forms to complete, what identification to bring, and how to ask reception about an appointment. Put that sequence on one patient-information page and keep the chat answer aligned with it. If the clinic requires forms before arrival, link to the current forms rather than asking the visitor to describe a medical history in chat.
On Starter and Pro, a booking request form can capture a preferred date, service, and callback details for reception to review. It is a request only: staff must check the clinic calendar and confirm the slot themselves.
Insurance answers should name only plans the clinic publicly lists and explain that coverage depends on the patient's policy and treatment. A useful answer might be: “We list Example Health Plan and Riverside Dental Plan. Please call reception with the plan name on your card so we can check your specific coverage.” That is more accurate than implying a benefit is guaranteed.
Do not invite symptoms, diagnoses, patient records, or insurance identifiers into a public knowledge source. MivoChat can collect contact details for follow-up, but clinics remain responsible for their privacy notices, lawful handling, access controls, and any health-data obligations that apply. Keep GDPR and health-data review with the clinic’s privacy or compliance lead.
A chat assistant must not triage pain, bleeding, breathing difficulty, medication reactions, or other urgent concerns. The approved response should direct the visitor to the clinic’s phone line during staffed hours and to the clinic’s published emergency instructions outside those hours. Do not leave an urgent message looking like it has been clinically reviewed.
Set opening hours and an away message that say when reception will next respond. A lead form can preserve a routine callback request; it is not an emergency channel.
Use quick replies for destinations such as “New patient information,” “Insurance we list,” and “Call reception.” If a visitor asks something outside those pages, route the conversation to the web inbox or a connected Telegram group, where staff can see the question and page context.
Review ratings and Insights for repeated unanswered questions. A run of low ratings on insurance questions is a cue to clarify the public page, not to let the assistant make coverage decisions.
A practical weekly review can group conversations into reception topics: first-visit preparation, insurance clarification, directions, routine appointment requests, and questions that need a clinician. Let the office manager update administrative sources, while a clinical approver reviews any wording close to care advice. When opening hours or away mode changes for a public holiday, confirm that the urgent phone message still points to a monitored route. This division keeps the chat useful at the front desk without making it look like a care provider.
Visitor: “Is there parking near the clinic?” Chat: “The patient information page lists the car park entrance on Maple Street. Reception can confirm accessible parking if you need it.”
Visitor: “I think I need a same-day appointment for a toothache.” Chat: “I can’t assess pain or swelling here. Please call reception on 555-0142 during opening hours. If we are closed, follow the urgent instructions on the contact page. I can also pass on your details so the team can call you about a routine appointment.”
Pass these to a person rather than answering from a page:
Write these before connecting the chat, using the clinic’s own details and a named owner for each page.
Questions, answered
On Starter and Pro, it can collect a booking request or send a visitor to the clinic’s existing booking page. It does not sync the clinic calendar or confirm an appointment; reception must review and confirm requests.
Keep it to clinic-approved administrative information. Symptoms, diagnoses, treatment advice, and urgency belong with a qualified person and the clinic’s established care or emergency process.
MivoChat supports configurable lead and booking-request fields. The clinic should collect only what it needs, explain the use in its privacy notice, and have its privacy lead review any health-data implications before launch.
On Starter and Pro, MivoChat can collect booking and quote requests, and it can link to your own booking page. On the trial, lead capture and quick replies are available, so visitors can leave contact details or follow a link to your booking page instead. MivoChat does not sync calendars, confirm appointments, or take payments; your team reviews requests and handles confirmation and payment in the tools you already use.
Yes. A team member can reply from the MivoChat web inbox or a connected Telegram group. Slack connections are in beta and require access.
Not yet. You can start the 14-day trial, but paid plan checkout and reply credit purchases are still coming soon. See the pricing page for the current plan limits.
